Describe your college experience

Attending CU Boulder was the best choice I ever made. The oppourtunities, network, and pure fun right at your fingertips as a CU student is truly unbelievable. This past year, I had the oppourtunity to travel abroad to Indonesia with Leeds Scholars to learn about their business practices and immerse myself in their culture. Complimenting this, on campus I have been able to meet a vast amount of people through getting involved in various clubs and events throughout the year, exposing myself to whole new worlds I never knew existed.

Tip for future students

My best advice is to keep an open mind. This applies to picking which college to attend, all the way down to starting a conversation with someone in your dorm. College will allow you to make the most out of anything, and expose you to things you never knew existed. For example, I was unaware of business fraternities prior to my first semester, and today it is one of my most valuable and enjoyed club. An even better example is the fact that I was very close to not attending CU Boulder. As an in-state student, it is very common to want to go out-of-state for college. However, in the end I chose to be a buff, and since then there hasn't been a second of regret due to the incredible amount of oppourtunity, resources, and exposure CU provides.

Favorite class

BCOR 1015, World of Business. This class introduced me to various schools of thought around economics, world trade, and policies that influence the way economies operate and react. Instead of teaching you a right or wrong way to think, this class allows students to look at all angles of an approach related to economic principles, and makes the student think critically on which they believe is best, not only monetarily, but ethically as well.

Career goals

After graduation, I hope to become a consultant. Leeds has exposed me to a wide array of consulting careers and firms, and the project nature of the job really intrigues my interests.

Ideal way to spend a free night

There are many great ways to spend nights in Boulder. Freshman year, hanging out in the dorms is one of the best parts of college. Living one door down from some of your best friends will forever be some of the best memories to date. Other great ways to spend a night include going out to the hill with friends, taking a sunset hike, or even just watching a movie with some friends.

My favorite place is the CU Rec Center. The Rec is the best gym I have ever been to, and I thouroughly enjoy going everyday. At The Rec, I often rock climb, lift, play basketball, or even try and get some shots in on the ice rink.
