Describe your college experience
My transition to college was not completely straightforward. I started at IE University in Madrid before transferring to the University of Miami, so I had to adjust to two very different schools and environments. That experience made me more independent and helped me understand what I actually wanted from college. At UM, I have been able to explore a mix of academics, extracurriculars, and a fun social life that have made my experience really special.
Tip for future students
Everybody is in the same boat, even when it does not seem like it. There is so much pressure to do well, choose the perfect school, and have everything figured out right away. Try not to overthink it. Be open to where college takes you, meet people, try new things, and enjoy the ride.
Favorite class
When it comes to my favorite class, it is really all about the professor. I loved my painting class because it taught me how to slow down and actually see what was in front of me, rather than what I assumed was there. It ended up being one of the most eye-opening experiences of my college career.
Career goals
After college, I hope to work in real estate development and eventually build projects of my own. I’m interested in the full process, from finding opportunities and understanding the numbers to designing and creating something people actually want to live in or use.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Miami is a city where you can do almost anything, so my ideal free night depends on the mood. It could be night fishing, trying a new restaurant, or going to a bar in the Grove with good friends. I like nights that are social and spontaneous.

Favorite spot on campus
My favorite spot on campus is the arboretum. It’s quiet, shaded, and feels like a hidden part of campus where I can slow down for a little while.
