Describe your college experience
I come from a first-generation background and a smaller Texas town right outside of Austin. When I came to college there was so much that I was unfamiliar with and there was even more that I had to learn. I spent my first couple of years here learning how to study, engage with my peers and courses, get acclimated to the college environment, and build my career. Now, as a rising senior, I look back incredibly fondly on the time I have spent at Texas and I can very confidently say I've grown so much in who I am as a person. Texas has laid an incredible foundation for me to build the career I am striving for, and for that I am forever thankful!
Tip for future students
It's never too early to start looking for opportunities! Start looking into internships, courses, and organizations NOW!
Favorite class
NEU 330 - Neural Systems I This was my very first neuroscience course and this class absolutley revealed to me my passion and love for neuroscience. The topics were so interesting and helped me understand humans as a whole and the processes that allow us to do, think, behave, and BE!
Career goals
After college, I plan to pursue a career in medicine and attend medical school after working in technology!
Ideal way to spend a free night
I love spending a free night doing a face mask with some hot tea and chocolate covered raspberries!

Favorite spot on campus
I have a few ... 1. WCP Sky bridge - BEAUTIFUL natural light and its always so quiet and peaceful 2. Norman Hackerman Building - aka the neuroscience building! I love going here and seeing the research posters along the wall as it always reminds me that the work I'm doing has a bigger and greater purpose, beyond just me! 3. DKR - There's nothing like a Texas Football Gameday!!!
