Describe your college experience
Transitioning to college was both exciting and challenging. As a first-generation college student, I had to learn how to balance academics, get involved on campus, and navigate new experiences. Over time, I built a supportive community, became more confident, and have truly enjoyed growing both personally and academically.
Tip for future students
My biggest advice is to step outside your comfort zone and get involved early. Don't be afraid to ask questions, attend events, and meet new people—everyone is figuring things out too. I also wish I had known that it's okay not to have everything planned out right away; college is a time to explore and grow.
Favorite class
My favorite class was Media Studies because it allowed me to explore new perspectives and connect what I was learning to real-world experiences. I enjoy courses that encourage discussion, critical thinking, and understanding different communities because they help me grow both academically and personally.
Career goals
After college, I hope to pursue a career that allows me to combine my interests in business, global connections, and entrepreneurship. I would love to travel, learn from different cultures, and eventually start my own business that creates meaningful experiences and opportunities for others.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal free night would be grabbing dinner with friends, watching a movie, crocheting, drawing/painting, taking naps, exercising, reading, or enjoying time to relax after a busy week.
