Clubs, organizations & involvement
I will be studying abroad in Spring 2027 in Italy. I would love to explain different options for studying abroad and how this ties into academics. I have participated in a variety of clubs, such as Women Science Society, UCSC Girls Who Code, book club, gardening club, and I work on personal projects in slugworks.

Describe your college experience
I was immediately in love with the college lifestyle and atmosphere. During my first year, I met almost everyone in the dorm building I lived in, so it was a very welcoming place. I found a lot of people with similar class schedules or workloads, and we would study together. I have spent a lot of time hiking around Santa Cruz or exploring the city with these same people. I also met a lot of people in my classes, despite the large lecture sizes.
Tip for future students
Studying can be fun if you make it. I usually spend time with my friends at a library or coffee shop while we work together or separately on schoolwork. Everyone's work style is different, but there are a lot of ways to make homework more engaging, which benefits you greatly.

Career goals
I plan to work on front end web development to combine my love for computer science and art.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I love spending time downtown. There is always something going on, from live music to street and sidewalk vendors. I like trying new restaurants and coffee shops with my friends. I also love going to the beach. During the summer, spring, and some of the fall, there are plenty of opportunities to go for a swim or sit in the sun. It's also a beautiful place to go on a walk at sunset.
