Describe your college experience

The transition to UCF was a major adjustment; the campus size was intimidating at first, but I quickly learned to navigate the scale by getting involved in Knighthacks. My experience so far has been a balance of managing a challenging academic workload and finding my community. Other than that I've been exploring all around Orlando and getting to know the city.

Tip for future students

The biggest thing I wish I had known is that you have to actively build your own community here. Because UCF is so large, it is easy to just go to class and go home, but you will get much more out of your experience if you pick one or two organizations to get involved in early. Also, do not be afraid to use the tutoring and academic resources at the start of the semester rather than waiting until you are struggling. Finding your spot on campus, whether it is a specific floor in the library or a quiet corner of the Student Union, makes the transition a lot easier.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been DIG 2000. I really enjoyed it because it provided a great introduction to the digital landscape and how media shapes our world. The course material was engaging and practical, and it helped me better understand the technology and design principles that impact my daily life. It was a refreshing change of pace from my other requirements and sparked a genuine interest in the subject matter.

Career goals

After graduation, my goal is to pursue a career as either a product manager or a UI​/​UX developer. I am really interested in the intersection of technology, design, and user experience, and I want to build products that are both functional and intuitive. I hope to work in a role where I can help shape how people interact with digital tools and contribute to solving real world problems through creative design and effective project management.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night is simply hanging out with friends. Whether we are grabbing food, relaxing at someone's place, or heading out to explore something new in Orlando, it is the best way to decompress after a long week. I really value that downtime because it is a great chance to catch up, recharge, and enjoy the social side of college life.
