Hi everyone! My name is Jerusa and i’m a current 3rd year Bio major at Drexel!
I am a biological science major concentrating in cell and gene therapy. When i’m not in class I am a dental assistant (a job I got from co-op!) and a barista. I have many friends in all sorts of majors and also enjoy venturing into classes not related to my major so I’d like to say I have a good understanding of Drexel as a whole. I am also a Philly native so I know all about our surrounding area:)

Describe your college experience
My transition to Drexel was a little rough as it is (currently) a quarter system school. It took me a while to get used to the fast pace but i’m now confident in it and would love to talk about my experience
Tip for future students
Obviously don’t procrastinate but also use all available help! Drexel has the korman center that has tutors in all subjects and many other schools do as well. It might feel a little embarrassing at first but myself and many of my friends have used it and it has been great. You’re paying for it so use it!
Favorite class
My favorite class has been Vertebrates because I enjoyed learning about the basis of all species and how they differ.
Career goals
I hope to become a dental hygienist and maybe one day go to dental school (after a nice break from school haha)
Ideal way to spend a free night
Go on a nice walk with friends and listen to music and chat.
