Hi! My name is Shravya, and I'm from Princeton, New Jersey. I'm a double major in Finance and Business Analytics at Drexel University. I enjoy meeting new people and being involved on campus. Outside of school, I love animals, traveling, and creating art. I'm excited about the opportunity to share my Drexel experience and help prospective students and their families feel welcome while showing them what makes our campus such a great place to be.

Describe your college experience

Transitioning to college was both exciting and challenging. Coming to Drexel gave me the opportunity to become more independent, step outside my comfort zone, and meet people from many different backgrounds. During my first year, I learned how to balance academics, extracurricular activities, and my personal life while adapting to the fast-paced quarter system. Since then, I've become involved in student organizations, developed meaningful friendships, and grown both personally and professionally. My experiences have helped me build confidence, strengthen my communication and leadership skills, and confirm that Drexel was the right choice for me. Looking back, I remember what it was like to be a prospective student, which is why I'm excited about the opportunity to help future Dragons feel welcomed and excited about joining the Drexel community.

Tip for future students

My biggest tip is to get involved early. Joining clubs, attending campus events, and talking to classmates made it much easier to make friends and feel connected to the Drexel community. I also wish I had known that it's okay not to have everything figured out right away. College is a learning experience, and asking for help and trying new things can make your time here much more rewarding.

Favorite class

My favorite class has been Macroeconomics because it's a subject where I've been able to see my own growth. At first, many of the concepts were challenging, but as the course progressed, I gained a much stronger understanding of how the economy works and how economic principles apply to real-world events. Seeing that improvement made the class both rewarding and enjoyable, and it strengthened my interest in business and finance.

Career goals

After college, I hope to pursue a career in consulting, ideally in a major city like Philadelphia or New York. I'm interested in solving complex business problems, working with a variety of clients, and continuing to develop my analytical and communication skills. Drexel's academic programs and experiential learning opportunities have helped prepare me for that path, and I'm excited to keep building toward that goal.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night is catching up on my favorite shows, spending time with friends, and exploring more of Philadelphia and Drexel's campus. Whether it's trying a new restaurant, attending a campus event, or just taking a walk around the city, I enjoy making the most of my free time while creating new memories.
