Describe your college experience

Coming to Duke was both exciting and a little overwhelming. I quickly found a community through research labs, student organizations, and friends who pushed me to grow both academically and personally. Since then, I've had the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research, take challenging STEM courses, and get involved in campus leadership. It's been a fast-paced but incredibly rewarding experience, and I've learned that some of the best parts of Duke happen outside the classroom.

Tip for future students

Don't be afraid to reach out. Whether it's emailing a professor about research, talking to someone after a club meeting, or asking an upperclassman for advice, people at Duke are surprisingly willing to help. Also, don't feel like you need to have everything figured out during your first year. College is the perfect time to explore different interests!

I took a grad course on drug discovery, it was quite neat!
