Hello everyone! My name is Bharat, and I am a person who is friendly, outgoing, and reliable. I consider it my strength that I can be accessible and a good communicator and professional. I am someone who enjoys giving information, answering queries, and making people feel welcome. I will relish in my role as a tour guide because of the opportunity I get to represent UCF, talk about its heritage and facilities, and ensure that all visitors leave with lasting impressions of the place.

Hometown

I have lived in the Winter Garden area for the past 12 years, and it has truly become my home. Growing up here has allowed me to become familiar with the community, culture, and everything that makes Orlando unique. Living so close to UCF has given me a strong appreciation for the university and its impact on the area. I enjoy sharing what makes Orlando a great place to live, study, and visit, and I'm excited to help guests feel welcomed while showcasing the vibrant community that surrounds UCF.

Throughout high school, I have been actively involved in several organizations and extracurricular activities. I participated in FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), where I developed leadership, teamwork, and professional skills through meetings and competitive events. I was also a member of HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), which strengthened my communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities while exploring careers in healthcare. In addition, I regularly participated in after-school activities and school events, allowing me to stay engaged with my school community, build relationships, and contribute to a positive environment.

Describe your college experience

As a sophomore at UCF, my college experience has been both rewarding and exciting. I have enjoyed challenging myself academically while meeting new people and becoming more involved on campus. Being a UCF student has helped me grow in confidence, communication, and time management. I appreciate the welcoming and diverse community at UCF, and my experiences have strengthened my pride in being a Knight. I am excited for the opportunity to share that enthusiasm with prospective students and their families through campus tours.

Tip for future students

My biggest tip for future students is to get involved early and take advantage of everything UCF has to offer. Join clubs and organizations, attend campus events, and don't be afraid to meet new people. Building connections with classmates, professors, and campus resources can make your college experience much more rewarding. Stay organized, ask for help when you need it, and keep an open mind you'll grow both academically and personally. Most importantly, enjoy the experience and make the most of your time as a Knight.

Favorite class

My favorite class at UCF has been EGN 1007 because it gave me a hands-on learning experience. One of the highlights was working with a team to design and build a boat from scratch. The project challenged me to think creatively, solve problems, and collaborate effectively with others. Seeing our ideas come together into a finished product was incredibly rewarding, and it made engineering concepts feel practical and exciting. The experience strengthened my teamwork and communication skills while showing me the value of learning by doing.

Career goals

My career goal is to become a computer engineer and use technology to solve real-world problems. I am passionate about learning how hardware and software work together to create innovative solutions that improve people's lives. Through my education at UCF, I hope to build a strong technical foundation, gain hands-on experience, and develop the skills needed to succeed in the engineering field. I look forward to contributing to new technologies while continuing to learn and grow throughout my career.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night is to relax and recharge while also staying connected with friends or doing something enjoyable. I might spend time hanging out with friends on campus, grabbing food, or attending a campus event. If I want to unwind, I enjoy watching movies, listening to music, or taking time to reflect and organize my goals for the week. I like having a balance between being social and taking personal time to rest, reset, and prepare for upcoming responsibilities.
