Social, calm college student looking to help people see the beauty of UCSC colle
Hello! My name is Kyle Sercu and I am a senior Earth Science major. I love being at UCSC and I would love to show people many of the great things about campus and being a slug! Whether that is the calming environment of the forest, the amazing social life among the trees, or the slow moving relaxing city below it.

Describe your college experience
It took me a second to find my footing, Santa Cruz can be a little difficult to get used to at first. But once I found my amazing friends and discovered roller skating I've met so many amazing people gotten so many opportunities to do things I didn't even know I could do.
Tip for future students
Be outgoing. It's difficult for friends to find you on campus and through school, so reach out and try to find places to go regularly to establish connecting. Don't be afraid to ask for Instagrams/Snapchats/ or Numbers!
Favorite class
My favorite class was my intro geology class. I found my major through it and developed my love for science into something specific.
Career goals
I hope to mix my love of talking to people with my love of science in a Sales Engineering role.
Ideal way to spend a free night
To go to an event with friends and dance our hearts out.
High school or secondary school
I went to San Leandro High School my first and second year, and Nevada Union High School the third and fourth.
