Describe your college experience

My transition to college has been a little challenging. As someone who’s first generation of college in America, the process is a little complicating, but the school’s front desk office has been able to help. Overall I find it exciting because it gives me an insight of what the next four years of independence and self exploration will look like!

Tip for future students

Start planning your freshman year from senior year — finances, moving, schedule — it will be overwhelming if you don’t and choose to wait last minute. Don’t be afraid to reach out. Make group chats, join group chats, just build a community before the school year actually starts!

Favorite class

Introduction to psychology. It excites me to learn about the human mind and how it’s applicable in real life. It also is really easy since I took AP Psych my senior year!

Career goals

I want to get my PhD and become a clinical psychologist so I can provide aid to teens who struggle with mental health — especially teen boys whom society have urged to disregard their mental health.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Currently, I just lay in bed and either sleep or scroll through social media, that’s going to change though. An ideal night I’m working towards would be hanging out outside with my friends, sharing intimate conversations under the stars.
