Describe your college experience

Transitioned into living in the dorms my freshmen year. Loved the community on campus so applied to be a Resident Assistant, and explored a lot of clubs and opportunities on campus. I’ve come to enjoy doing research at the biology department at SMU, as well as host large scale events through African Student Association and Mustang Market.

Tip for future students

Don’t be scared to ask, or join something. Even if it may not be for you, this is the perfect time to try new things and discover what you’re really passionate about, even outside your academics.

Favorite class

Forensic Psychology has been one of my favorite classes because I found it very interesting. My professor was extremely engaging, and one of the most interesting assignments she had us do was to stop by the Dallas courthouse and walk into a case and write about our experience there. This was really cool for me, and gave me an opportunity it see the things that we were learning about in class play out in the real world.

Career goals

I hope to attend medical school after college.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I like to spend a free night either drawing, or sometimes playing video games. When it is the weekend, I like to go out with my friends and try new restaurants, or go on trails in the DFW area.
