I am also a part of the Gallio lab at Northwestern, working as an undergraduate researcher. Outside of academics, I love powerlifting, soccer, glassblowing, chess, and anything outdoors. Describe your college experience
I would say that my college experience has been a roller coaster of adjustment, but I've loved it. Transitioning into the quarter system was definitely an experience, as everything moves VERY fast; however, I actually enjoy the quick pace of everything. When you are learning something that you don't enjoy, it'll be over in a couple of a weeks. I also love that it allows me to take more classes, and makes double majoring much more accessible. I didn't really believe it, but college really is the place where you learn so much about yourself and build habits that will shape the future years of your life.
Tip for future students
Don't stretch yourself too thin. When you come to college, you shouldn't stress about finding the perfect friends right away, those friendships will come naturally when you start doing the things you enjoy. Take classes you want to take. PLAN your 4 years out (not every single class but a general idea). Be yourself and have fun! Also go to the club fair!
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been my organic chemistry class, simply because I found it to be much more intuitive than general chemistry and the professor and TAs to be very helpful.
Career goals
I am hoping to go to medical school and pursue an MD.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Whether it is going out or staying in, my ideal night is a night with my friends.
