Describe your college experience
My transition to college was super busy, but super successful! The Miami culture was a bit of a shock to me, but it is great to meet new people. Through clubs, I could really find like-minded individuals. I am a premed student and was a member of the UM cheerleading team, so I was very occupied! I learned balance and time management quickly.
Tip for future students
Don't be afraid to use campus resources and go to office hours early on! Take advantage of every campus opportunity! Balancing a busy schedule is all about staying ahead of the game. Also, give yourself grace during your first semester. Everyone is trying to figure it out just like you are!
Favorite class
Organic chemistry. I loved seeing the concepts click, and the camaraderie with all of the chem students. Study hard, utilize office hours, and work together with your classmates!
Career goals
Attend medical school and explore specialties, such as neurology and psychiatry
Ideal way to spend a free night
Spending time with friends doing something fun and wholesome! This can look like pickleball at the campus gym, taking the metro to chipotle and target, or chatting at the gliders.
