Describe your college experience
I was very nervous at first about what people would be like here, especially since I haven't been back in the U.S for a long time. But the people are friendly, the school is resourceful, and my experience here has been not what I expected, but I am happy that I am here.
Tip for future students
Any tips should be, bring a portable fan (if you can) and ALWAYS keep an umbrella handy! Also to have two types of calculators if you're a STEM student. Last thing, never think that having 8 ams will be easy, you might've been able to get up early in High School, but everyone I talk to who has 8 ams only complain about their 8 am!
Favorite class
My favorite class here so far has been BIOL 20A because of the teacher and the content. The teacher just retired but he was an older man who, you can tell, enjoyed his life and wanted to share that wisdom and joy with others. He did an excellent Job at teaching Introductory Biology and would wish I could have him and take the class again.
Career goals
After college I hope to get into Med School and join the Air Force Officer Training School Program so I can work my way into the Government and hopefully work in the FBI or the Department of State as a Psychiatrist to Foreign Service Members/ Officers.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Would definitely be getting a bunch of snacks with my roommates and watching a movie that we either haven't seen or have seen 100 times. Or to go to the Boardwalk Downtown (currently getting over my fear of Rollercoasters and the Giant Dipper is really fun!). Plus Woodstock Pizza always hits the spot on a Friday night.
