I'm an incoming freshman starting in the fall. So my UCSC journey is just beginning! I chose UCSC for its strong CS program and beautiful campus, and I can't wait to dive into everything it has to offer.

Tip for future students

The more you prepare the better! Apply early to on-campus jobs and get your Handshake profile set up before you even arrive — the good positions fill up fast!

Favorite class

I haven't taken college classes yet, but in high school my favorite was AP Computer Science. It sparked my passion for AI and problem solving and set me on the path to studying CS at UCSC.

Career goals

I hope to work in AI and data science, whether that's in research or building real-world tech products. I've already had internships in computer vision and AI marketing, and I'm excited to keep growing in that direction

Ideal way to spend a free night

Exploring Santa Cruz with friends, finding a good coffee shop to work from, or watching something on Netflix after a long week of classes!
