Four years at The U were nothing short of unforgettable. From late nights studying at Richter Library to gamedays at Hard Rock Stadium, I experienced everything Miami has to offer — the culture, the energy, and the community. As a Cane, I found my people, discovered my passion, and grew into who I am today. There's truly no place like UM. 🧡🟢

Tip for future students

1. It's never too late to change your path I switched to pre-med halfway through and still made it work. Don't let fear of "falling behind" keep you stuck in the wrong major. 2. Get to know your pre-med advisor ASAP They'll map out exactly what you need and help you build a realistic timeline for MCATs, shadowing, and applications. 3. Start shadowing and volunteering early Medical schools want hours — the sooner you start, the less stressed you'll be junior and senior year. 4. Use UM's resources — seriously The Health Professions Advising office is a hidden gem. Take advantage of mock interviews, application workshops, and MCAT prep support. 5. Don't neglect your GPA during the transition The science GPA matters a lot for med school. Hit the ground running in your pre-req courses. 6. Find your community Join clubs like AED (Alpha Epsilon Delta) or volunteer at UHealth. You'll find others on the same journey. 7. Trust the process The road is long but doable. Your unique story — including the switch — actually makes you a stronger applicant.
