As a transfer and international student, I understand how overwhelming the college application and transfer process can be. I love helping students navigate academics, campus life, and opportunities while sharing an honest perspective on Berkeley. Describe your college experience

My college journey has been unconventional but incredibly rewarding. I started at De Anza College as an international student and transferred to UC Berkeley. Along the way, I discovered opportunities for leadership, mentorship, and community building. Berkeley has challenged me academically while helping me grow personally and professionally. As a transfer student, I've learned that there is no single path to success, and I enjoy helping others find their own.

Tip for future students

Don't compare your journey to everyone else's. Focus on building relationships, asking questions, and taking advantage of opportunities, even if they seem outside your comfort zone. Some of the best experiences happen when you simply decide to show up and try.

Favorite class

My favorite class has been Global 45 because it helped me understand how economics, politics, and history shape global challenges. The class encouraged me to think critically about international issues from different perspectives.

Career goals

After college, I hope to work in a role that combines international affairs, business, and community impact. Long term, I want to help create opportunities for students and young professionals, especially those from underrepresented and international backgrounds.

Ideal way to spend a free night

A cozy study session with matcha, catching up with friends, trying a new café, watching a good documentary, or working on creative content projects.

Previous college

De Anza College, Cupertino, California (2023–2025) As an international transfer student, I completed my associate degree while balancing leadership roles, campus involvement, and mentorship programs. The transfer pathway taught me resilience, time management, and how to make the most of every opportunity. I was admitted to multiple UC campuses and with $30k of scholarship from UC Santa Cruz but ultimately chose UC Berkeley.
