Hi my name is Danielle. I am about to start my third year at Cal.
I am from LA. I am double majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology and Public Health. In my free time at Berkeley I love to hike the fireside trails and try new matcha stores. I am part of a student teaching team for a Cognitive Science class, and am also a research assistant for a psychology lab. I love Berkeley and am so excited to be here this summer!

Describe your college experience
I have had the best time at Berkeley! I love the game days that happen in the fall. I went to a small highschool, so when I came to Berkeley everything seemed so large. I became very close with my freshman roomates. Ever since then it has not felt large at all. I have made so many new friends and tried so many new cool activities. What I love about Berkeley is that you can be yourself. No one is ever judging you and there are so many opportunities to learn what you love.
Tip for future students
The on campus dining is way better Create a class schedule and make sure to take the correct classes, and check your AP credits and other credits to see what they cover Go to sports games Bring a puffer jacket it gets cold here in the winter There is no AC in most classes so wear layers to class Make sure to map your classes as some are quite far Classes start ten minutes after - Berkeley time
Favorite class
Cognitive Science 175 - I learned about proper study tools, how to use AI correctly, completed a study about my phone usage throughout the course of the class. I loved it so much that I joined the teaching team!

Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal night is to order Italian homemade (best Italian restaurant here). Then watch a movie with my friends. In my sorority where I live there is a TV room with a lot of couches where I love to watch shows with my friends. Afterwards I would walk to Menchie’s and get some delicious froyo!
