Describe your college experience

My transition to college contained a little bit of struggle but it was very adventurous as courses and the academics at UChicago are quite difficult but the tough environments stir strong relationships among students and with professors in order to pursue higher knowledge. Chicago is also a large city to explore as there are many attractions that are accessible through the public transportation.

Tip for future students

Make sure to balance work and your own health through thorough planning of when to work and when to rest. Burn-out happens to everyone but it can be mitigated through careful planning and building discipline.

Favorite class

My favorite class has been Honors General Chemistry (121-123) as it has introduced very difficult subjects, such as quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, and kinetics. They reached way beyond what was needed but it provided an opportunity to explore these deep ideas with professors who have or are actively doing research in that field.

Career goals

I hope to enter into medical school and pursue an MD-PhD in order to work in medical research and patient care in order to target modern day medical issues that negatively impact patient outcomes.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I like to spend the night out getting ramen or pho in Chinatown, walking to the Point to watch the sunset, and watch a movies with friends in the dorm.

High school or secondary school

I attended Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School in Broadview Heights, Ohio.
