Hi, my name is Carolina Reed and I am a sophomore at Ohio State studying business through the Fisher College of Business. I have been an OSU fan since the day I was born as my parents both went here and all three of my older siblings did as well so it feels like I grew up on this campus! Some of my hobbies are running, which I am heavily involved in Run Club at OSU and compete in meets, hanging out with friends, working as a barista on campus, hiking, and anything outside. I would love to help future students get a feel for campus as Ohio State offers so much and I want to show future students ways to be involved here as I made my best friends freshman year and have taken advantage of all that campus has to offer!

Describe your college experience

My first month or so of college was fun but I was still very shy and would talk to new students but had a hard time making friends still. Throughout the year I became much more outgoing and especially through run club or work at the coffee shops I made some of my best friends ever and even went on vacation with girls I had just met during the school year this summer! I am now more excited to go back to college more than last year or breaks such as winter break.

Tip for future students

It is important to go outside of your comfort zone to meet new people, don't over rely on friends from high school that may be going here as well, meet new people, try things you would never had tried before, join an intermural sports team or a club team here, don't stay in your dorm, say yes to your friends about doing activities, go outside, try new study spots

Favorite class

Accounting 1, I really enjoyed learning about accounting because it is used in every company and I understood the content well, I enjoyed the professor's teaching style, and felt accomplished when I learned new material

Career goals

I am not 100% sure what field I want to go into yet, I need to do a lot more research, but if I keep enjoying accounting I may go into that, or would love to work as a financial analyst or for marketing for a professional sports team or company one day

Ideal way to spend a free night

Hangout with my friends, don't love hanging out by myself as much but if I wanted a chill night I would watch a show and maybe do a craft
