Junior Engineering Student | Ready for summer tours!
Hi, I'm Eunice! I'm a junior studying Human Factors Engineering and Entrepreneurship. I have many creative interests, such as art and music, and I am part of career organizations in engineering and design. I also find ways to connect to my Korean heritage on my own while traversing college!

Describe your college experience
In high school, my schedule was packed from morning to late night. Thankfully, this helped my time management and discipline in college. As a more introverted person, I was nervous that I wouldn't find "my people" and form strong bonds and friendships. However, through my major, clubs, and church community, I was able to find friends that I have lived with for nearly 2 years now. I was able to connect with my Korean culture by befriending people who had similar experiences to me, which was not possible for me during college. I also grew a lot in my engineering and technical skills, which I hoped as I was coming into school for engineering. I found new passions and built new collaboration skills through various projects.
Tip for future students
Be yourself! If you are yourself and start by going out of your way in the beginning to meet people, the right people will stick by your side. Joining organizations as a freshman can seem intimidating, but it feels harder to join the older one gets, so the sooner, the better. I think it's very important to practice time management and organization skills to balance work and personal life.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been ES19: Computer-Aided Design, where I learned how to become fluent in SolidWorks. I was always interested in CAD, and in this class I learned to 3D model with great detail and difficult but fun projects. The skills I learned in this class helped advance me in my mechanical and human factors classes. I finished the class with a grand final project I was proud of and an official SolidWorks Design Associate certification.
Career goals
I hope to become a consumer product designer at a company like SharkNinja, designing unique and user-friendly tools. I am interested in finding what makes a product ergonomic, easy to use, and appealing to look at. I also have interests in UI/UX design, which is what I did during my internship over the summer.
Ideal way to spend a free night
An ideal night for me is crafting while eating sweet treats with my friends, journaling while watching YouTube, exploring Boston and eating a delicious meal with loved ones, or simply playing card games while playing dinner at Carm (our dining hall!).
