Authentic & bubbly true Texan looking to spread the love of college life!
My name is Olivia Wilson, and I am from a small Texas town -- Wimberley! There I grew up in and around ranch life, love to dance, and driven to suceed. With each new chapter in my life, I attack it with the determination to get the most out of the experience I can. Every experience, smoothe or bumpy, I love to speak on and give advice -- truly an open book!

Describe your college experience
I found myself lost during my transition between home life and college life. Having never moved in my life, college was a major adjustment that I had to work through. I put myself out there, faced acceptances and rejections, felt even more lost, but kept at it until I found my path, people, and passion. I've worked student mentorship jobs on campus, officer roles in organizations, and changed my major. Along the way I've experienced football games, nights out, all-nighters in the libary, and more. Overall, I would say I have had a well-rounded college experience with advise for all types of incoming students.
Tip for future students
- Stay out of your dorm as much as possible in the first week, its when you meet people - Continue pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone even in the face of rejection - Don't be scared to change opinions, majors, interests, etc. This time is to find yourself. - Say yes to things that scare you
Favorite class
Conflict Resolution has been my favorite class. From the interactive professor and small classroom to world applicable content, I have never learned or grown more in a class.
Career goals
After college I hope to travel (I'm graduating a year early) and then start a career in event planning!
Ideal way to spend a free night
An ideal night would start with a caesar salad wrap with a crisp diet coke alongside my best friend. After dinner, we go on a short walk and get ready for the night. We drive to a local dance hall and dance the entire night away. After dancing for hours, we stop for a sweet treat before debriefing the entire night.

Olivia was amazing and we had a fantastic tour! We now have a much better understanding of the layout of the campus, the housing options, and information about where different classes will be held. I highly recommend Olivia as a tour guide!

Our tour at UT was outstanding thanks to Olivia. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about the university. She answered every question thoughtfully and shared personal experiences that gave us a real sense of campus life. Her enthusiasm made the tour both informative and enjoyable. Thank you for making from our visit such a nice experience —we left even more impressed with UT!
