Brown University Sophomore studying Earth Science

Hello! My name is Klara and I'm from the Bay Area, California but have also lived in British Columbia and Germany. I'm planning on concentrating in the earth science department, but have taken many courses in other disciplines. I love exploring Providence, playing volleyball, cooking, hiking, and spending time with my friends. I have so much to share about Brown and would love to help answer any questions you have!

Describe your college experience

Brown has been such an amazing place to meet talented, kind, and passionate people from all backgrounds. My classes are taught by world class professors who care deeply about their students and the open curriculum has given me the freedom to dip my toes in subjects I never imagined myself in.

Tip for future students

Be open minded and take advantage of all the opportunities that Brown affords. You never know what hidden interests and talents you might find in yourself!

Favorite class

My favorite class has been Introduction to Human Development and Education. Although totally unrelated to what I'm studying, I learned so much about what happens between infancy and adulthood, physically and especially mentally. It was so fascinating to see how what I was learning in class related to what I had observed in real life and I would recommend the class to anyone!

Career goals

I hope to go to grad school.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I love hosting charcuterie night with my friends and watching a movie or just chatting.

My experience touring Brown University with Klara was truly memorable, and I would highly recommend it. Klara was a wonderful tour guide who took the time to answer every question we had about the university, the admissions process, and campus life. I left the tour feeling both informed and excited about Brown. We visited many of the university's key locations and had the opportunity to learn about its academic programs, student life, and unique opportunities. Overall, I strongly recommend booking this tour if you're interested in learning more about Brown University. It was an informative, enjoyable, and well-organized experience.
