Entering 4th Year UCSD Undergraduate Student
Hi, I am entering my 4th year at UCSD as an undergraduate student. I am majoring in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience with a minor in Human Developmental Sciences. I am a student in 7th college, and lived on campus for my first two years. In addition to being interested in the topics I focus on in my studies, I am an avid musician/music lover, as well as a member of the Jewish community and connected to the Hillel of SD at UCSD, with some leadership experience there.

Describe your college experience
It has been eventful. It took a while for me to find my footing here as I had very little experience living away from my home/family. Once I opened myself up to new people and experiences, and looked for opportunities and people that brought me joy it made it much easier. I have been able to explore san diego and the surrounding cities a bit, meeting people from UCSD and outside of school through concerts and other events I have attended. The amount of support I have been able to find through my friends and organizations like Hillel have been grounding, and having older people I can ask questions to about specifics has given me immense clarity throughout the years.
Tip for future students
The campus is BIG, with a lot of people. I knew that in theory before coming here, but being here (even from a large high school) was kind of shocking. You don't need to know every detail about everyone and everything, and it is likely not worth trying to figure that out. Find what you want to know about, what you want to do, and who you want to do it with and then focus on that.
Favorite class
Cogs 101A was one of my favorite classes. I loved the professor, and found the topics covered to be very interesting. I liked how we focused on the connections and interdisciplinary approach to cogsci and sensation and perception. The professor made me feel supported and was very approachable and personable, making me comfortable to ask questions.
Career goals
Not super sure, some things that I am interested in are: Teaching (specifically early childhood/elementary schoolers) Pediatrics/healthcare (pursuing school for that, specifically endocrinologist) Research Music Mental Health Care
