Describe your college experience

My life has been lit up in so many new ways from coming to college. Since coming I have grown much deeper in my faith, made many lasting friendships, have learnt to feel uncomfortable, felt the joy of life in its fullest, and have improved in my reading​/​writing skills drastically. Coming to UCSB was one of the best decisions of my life!

Tip for future students

Don't be afraid to talk and interact with others, whatever nerves you feel are also usually being felt by others, when your overwhelmed try to make a plan to get back on track, loving others and trying to understand them is always the way, and finally JUST GO DO SOMETHING. Every time that things get tough the answer is to DO SOMETHING, whether thats doing something about it or doing something else to distract yourself, always do something rather than nothing. This goes for School, life, relationships, and more

Favorite class

History - Machiavelli I loved my Machiavelli class because I am a huge history nerd but it was a lot of content I didn't know, I loved learning about the timeline, personality, and writings of Machiavelli and managed to get 100% on my final of a 10-paged essay written as a letter by him.

Career goals

I hope to get into teaching Highschool as soon as possible and from then will focus on increasing my education while I work.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I love spending my nights in with my roommates in my dorm or out and about with a larger group of friends. Typically we will find a movie to watch and enjoy it with a bunch of snacks of our choice and sometimes play games together on our Xbox. When out and about we like to hang out around The Habit and go on walks​/​hikes around the lagoon and Isla Vista. Free time during the day is beach time!
