Clemson University
Hi! I’m a college student who loves meeting people and making them feel at home.
I’m Jessica, a junior at Clemson studying biology on the pre-nursing track. Clemson has been part of my family for generations, so it’s always felt like home to me, even coming from out of state. I’m outgoing, love meeting new people, and enjoy sharing everything that makes this campus special. I’d love to help you feel the same excitement, connection, and sense of belonging that I’ve felt here!

Clubs, organizations & involvement
In addition to being a student at Clemson, I am actively involved in the sorority Alpha Chi Omega. Through Alpha Chi, I have had the opportunity to participate in off-campus community service. I also spent my summer volunteering at a local hospital in my hometown, and I joined a recreational soccer team with a group of my friends.

Describe your college experience
My transition to college was honestly really exciting but also a little overwhelming at first. I came in through the Bridge program, which was definitely intimidating in the beginning, but getting involved on campus and meeting new people helped me find my place pretty quickly. Joining my sorority especially made a huge difference, and it really gave me a sense of family here. Over time, I’ve become a lot more confident and independent, and I’ve really loved figuring out how to balance classes with everything else going on. My experience so far has been super rewarding, and I’ve learned so much both in and out of the classroom.
Tip for future students
Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there, especially at the beginning. It can feel overwhelming, but getting involved (whether it’s Greek life, clubs, or just talking to people in class) makes such a difference. Also, don’t stress if everything doesn’t feel perfect right away—it takes time to find your routine and your people.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been Anatomy & Physiology. I loved it because it really connects to what I want to do in the future with nursing, and it made learning about the human body super interesting. It was definitely challenging at times, but it felt really rewarding to understand how everything works together and apply it to real-life situations.
Career goals
After college I hope to go to nursing school, with the hops of going into nurse anesthesia.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a night is going out to dinner with my friends and just being around people I love. There are so many great options around campus I would love to share with prospective students! I enjoy those moments where we can relax, catch up, and spend quality time together—it’s the perfect balance after a busy week of school.
