I am involved in the Wellness Club at Syracuse along with the Real Estate Club. I also go to church every Sunday at Hendricks Chapel and am currently a new member in the Alpha Phi chapter here at Syracuse.

Describe your college experience

My transition was hard at first, leaving my family and friends and learning how to adjust, but now I am very acclimated and heavily enjoy my time here and the friends I have made. I also love my roommate and my major!

Tip for future students

One thing I wish I knew before starting school here is how fast everything moves. The first few weeks can feel overwhelming socially and academically, but it’s normal everyone is adjusting, even if they don’t show it. I would tell future students to stay organized from day one, especially in classes like econ or accounting, because falling behind is way harder than staying ahead. I’d also say don’t be afraid to put yourself out there early. Go to the football games, join clubs, talk to people in your classes those first connections matter more than you think. At the same time, don’t compare your path to everyone else’s. Some people will seem like they have internships, friend groups, and life figured out immediately, but everyone is just navigating it in their own way.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been my SOM122 class with Professor Wimer. I really liked it because it practical and directly connected to my future. I liked that it focused on business fundamentals and helped me understand how organizations actually operate. Instead of just memorizing concepts, I felt like I was learning skills I could use in internships and real-world settings.

Career goals

After college, I hope to start a career in the business world where I can combine strategy, creativity, and financial knowledge. Ideally, I’d like to work in an area like real estate, marketing, or corporate strategy where I can analyze data, make decisions that impact growth, and continue building my professional skills. I want to be in a fast-paced environment that challenges me and pushes me to grow.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night is a mix of relaxing and social. I’d probably start by getting dinner with my friends, somewhere fun but not too fancy, and just talk and laugh about everything going on. After that, maybe go to a campus event, a football or basketball game, or just hang out in someone’s dorm watching a movie and being low-key. If I’m really tired, though, my perfect night could also just be staying in, doing a little self-care, catching up on a show, and not thinking about assignments for a few hours. I like nights that feel balanced fun and social, but still peaceful.
