The transition was very smooth and I really feel at home here. School has not been as difficult as I anticipated, and Santa Cruz is an amazing place and I've loved being here.

Tip for future students

Show up as much as you can and just turn in your work. Sometimes the workload seems stressful, but as long as you turn something in you'll be fine, most of the time. You really don't need to worry too much.

Favorite class

My favorite class was Writing 1. I normally dislike writing, but I enjoyed this class. The prompts were fun and it wasn't too difficult for me. Every paper I wrote I had fun doing it.

Career goals

I've worked construction since I was 14, and I want to eventually start my own practice and open up a cabinet shop where I'll sell and install cabinetry.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Getting some friends to go to the beach and do a night swim.
