Describe your college experience

A lot of people from my class in high school also came to UMass Amherst. I was worried it would feel too much like high school again, but it is totally different. I have met so many new people while still staying friends with some people from my hometown. I really like the independence I have when I am at school.

Tip for future students

Participate in everything you can and take advantage of everything the school offers. This can be things like events, clubs, career resources, study spaces, and more. There are probably more things available than you realize.

Favorite class

My favorite class was intro to sociology, because it helped me decide my major because I found the content very interesting. I also connected well with the professor even though it was a large lecture class by participating a lot.

Career goals

I would like to work with groups like non-profits and activist agencies to help them collaborate to address current issues.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Hanging out with my suite mates and doing a craft while we watch a movie or listen to music.
