Hi! I’m born and raised in Miami and currently studying at the University of Miami. I love working out, spending time outdoors, spending time with family, and hanging out with friends whether that means trying new food spots around Coconut Grove or having a cozy night in to focus on academics. I’m passionate about staying active and healthy, and I work part-time at a local boxing gym where I help kids learn the sport it’s one of my favorite parts of the week! I was super involved in sports back in high school and now I’m hoping to get more involved with community organizations on campus.

Describe your college experience

My transition into college has been really smooth! The University of Miami provides so many great resources that help new students adjust and find their way. Starting college can definitely seem intimidating, especially if you’re doing it on your own, but the school’s guidance and overall sense of community make it so much easier and actually really fun. The staff and students are super friendly and always willing to help, which makes campus feel welcoming and exciting.

Tip for future students

Don’t stress too much! It’s easy to feel overwhelmed at first, but the university truly helps you every step of the way. Take advantage of the resources available, get involved, and know that you’re never alone there’s always someone willing to help. I also wish I’d known how important it is to balance school with self-care and fun there’s so much to explore and enjoy here, so make time for that too!

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been Introduction to International Relations. Even though it’s an introductory course, it’s opened my eyes to so many global perspectives and how different countries navigate their own challenges while working together. It’s helped me understand the world in a much broader way, and I love how engaging and thought provoking the discussions are.

Career goals

My main goal after college is to work for the federal government, ideally within a U.S. federal agency or department in Washington, D.C. I want to contribute to public service, be part of important decision making processes, and help create a positive impact on the country. I’m really drawn to the idea of working in a field that connects policy, international relations, and government operations.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal night really depends on my mood! Sometimes I love going out with friends, exploring new food spots, or taking a walk somewhere peaceful like Coconut Grove. Other times, I enjoy staying in, watching a good show, meal prepping, or catching up on schoolwork. I like finding a good balance between relaxing and being social. I’ve learned that maintaining that balance is super important for both mental health and academic success life is really all about balance!
