My name is Mackenna and I am a current junior at the University of Missouri-Columbia. I am studying Nutrition and Exercise Physiology with a plan to pursue my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. I am involved in Greek life and different clubs around campus, as well as activities around Columbia.

Describe your college experience

I have had a great college experience! My transition as an out of state student was uncomfortable at first, but I have been able to build a strong support system here at Mizzou. I also have developed a strong academic and social life, that I feel very fulfilled in.

Tip for future students

My biggest piece of advice for future Mizzou students would be to get involved early! You will never regret putting yourself out there and giving new clubs​/​organizations a chance.

Favorite class

My favorite class has been Intro to Human Nutrition! I found it very interesting and applicable to many areas of my life!

Career goals

I plan to attend graduate school for Occupational Therapy and eventually work with either geriatric patients or individuals with special needs.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal free night would include grabbing dinner at a cute Columbia restaurant with some of my friends, and then going for a walk downtown! Also, a stop for ice cream as a treat is always good with me!
