Describe your college experience
I started at the University of Arkansas in the Fall of 2020. I lived on campus while completing mostly virtual classes during this time. Campus reopened my sophomore year of college which was my favorite year where I lived on campus in the Tri Delta house. Some of my favorite college memories include Razorback football game days, snow days on campus with friends, and attending local Fayetteville festivals and events! I made great relationships with both professors and classmates during my undergraduate studies. My favorite days at the UofA are in the Fall, enjoying the beautiful scenery, and stopping for a latte at one of the many coffee shops on campus.
Tip for future students
My number one tip to future students is to stay out of your dorm as much as possible. The University of Arkansas campus and the town of Fayetteville have so many great people and places to experience. Get out of your dorm and find your favorite study spot on campus, explore the beautiful walking/biking trails, and make new friends! By doing this you are sure to have an amazing experience.
Favorite class
My favorite class was called The Helping Relationship. I took this course during my undergraduate studies and it helped me in my decision to pursue a masters in counseling. In this class we practiced basic counseling skills and I fell in love with it! The professor was engaged and pushed us all to bring our best to class each day.
Career goals
Upon graduation I plan to work somewhere in the community helping individuals with disabilities achieve their goals by connecting them to the proper resources and providing rehabilitation counseling services.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night in Fayetteville includes grabbing dinner with friends and then finding some live music whether it's at George's, JJs live, or a local park. There are so many great local restaurants and new places popping up all the time, it's hard to keep up! I love trying out these new places. With great music venues and local events there are always opportunities to catch a live show, especially if you like country music!
