Auburn University
Hi! My name is Bailey, and I am a finance student at Auburn University.
Hi there! I’m a business student at Auburn University with a passion for building community and creating memorable experiences. From helping launch Auburn’s wellness club “Live Well” to planning major philanthropy events for Zeta Tau Alpha, I love using my leadership roles to bring people together. Every club I join—from professional organizations like Alpha Kappa Psi to the Student Philanthropy Board—has helped me connect more deeply with Auburn and the incredible people who make it feel like home. Sharing that love and pride with others is one of my favorite parts of being on the Plains!

Describe your college experience
Coming to Auburn from out of state, I was nervous about finding my place—but that feeling didn’t last long. I was immediately welcomed by the Auburn community, and it truly felt like home faster than I ever expected. From joining campus organizations to taking on leadership roles, I’ve been given so many opportunities to grow, connect, and be part of something bigger than myself. Every new experience has deepened my love for Auburn and shown me just how special this community is.
Tip for future students
If I could give one piece of advice—it’s to get involved in everything that interests you. Some of the best parts of my college experience have come from just saying yes. Whether it was joining a new club, stepping into a leadership role, or going to an event where I didn’t know anyone, those moments helped me find my people and grow so much, personally and professionally. Plus, I’ve had the absolute best time doing it.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been an international business course I took during the first semester of my sophomore year. We were given the opportunity to build a company based in a foreign country from the ground up, which was such an eye-opening experience. I served as the CFO, so I got hands-on practice managing financial operations and creating a strategic plan. We also conducted deep market research, navigated trade regulations, and learned how to lead across cultural differences. That class really helped me realize how passionate I am about working in global markets—it sparked my career goals and gave me skills I still use in other projects today.
Career goals
After college, I hope to pursue a career in either international business consulting or commercial real estate. I’m excited by the opportunity to work in dynamic, people-centered industries where I can solve problems creatively and think on a global scale.
Ideal way to spend a free night
On a free night, I love grabbing dinner at Taco Mama with friends—it’s my go-to spot in downtown Auburn.
