Describe your college experience
When I first got to South Carolina, I did not know anybody. As a generally introverted person I had to force myself to get out and meet other people. I began to meet some of my best friends now by simply being social with the people in my residence hall, at rush events, and other social events within the housing community. After spending a year at South Carolina, I can honestly say it was the best decision of my life deciding to leave home and enroll here.
Tip for future students
My biggest piece of advice for incoming students is you are going to get out what you put in when it comes to your new experiences. If you put yourself out there and be willing to open up and meet new people, you will come out very satisfied with your experience.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far was my MGSC 290 class. It's proper title is Computer Information Systems in Business. It is almost entirely based on Microsoft Excel. What made the class so special was the professor. He made the class personal, and connected with each individual student. He was a South Carolina Alum himself, he also sent his children through South Carolina and he was very passionate about the success of the school as well as each individual within the school.
Career goals
My career goals, though not concrete, are to earn my CPA license after graduating, and begin working at an accounting firm or a corporate bank in either accounting or finance in Charlotte or Boston.
Ideal way to spend a free night
The most ideal way, which I would do probably three or four nights a week, is to find other people who are free, and just spend the night hanging out in one of your dorms, watching sports, playing video games, or simply just talking and getting to know eachother better.
