Describe your college experience
My transition to college was pretty rough at first. I had never gone to school more than 10 miles from home, and not many of my hometown friends came here—so I felt pretty alone. But once I started meeting new people and settling in, I began to realize how amazing this campus and community really are. Over time, I’ve made a great group of friends who’ve become such an important part of my life. I love going out with them, hanging out on the Quad, and catching sports games together. It’s been an incredible journey so far!
Tip for future students
My only tip is to have fun but not too much fun. Do not skip class because of fun or you will regret it so much and I have to learn it the hard way. Yes, UIUC is a great place to have fun but do not let me fun takeover. Know when to have fun and when to work hard.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been ADV 150. Mainly because it is a simple elective and many of my friends did it with me. It is honestly a very interesting class, you get to learn the different reasons company make their ads. You get to make you own ads too and you get to work with partners that you choose. A great GPA booster class.
Career goals
After college, I hope to become a physical therapist and eventually open my own practice. I’m passionate about helping people recover and improve their quality of life, and I’d love to create a space where patients feel supported and motivated throughout their journey.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend the free night is getting foods with friends and eating with friends at the quad. Then going to some event later in the night.
