Hi! My name is Hannah. I am a senior and have thoroughly enjoyed my last 4 years at the capstone. I have grown up coming to and from campus as my hometown is only 45 minutes from Tuscaloosa. I believe this has given me a unique perspective on UA and the surrounding areas as both a student and a “local.”

Describe your college experience

My college experience has been fun and allowed me to grow both academically and as a person. I learned how to fully live on my own and balance work, volunteer activities, and being a full time student on a harder degree path.

Tip for future students

- Get involved early! - Don’t overload yourself with classes your first semester. - Try to get a little out of your shell by trying new things. - Surround yourself with a good support system.

The Chemistry of Baking - Honors Class • We got to dive into the science behind baking different foods and desserts and actually test some of the recipes and ideas in the professional kitchen on campus.
