Hi my name is Jade! I am a freshman at UofSC and in multiple organizations including greek life and student government, so I have a lot of information about the organizations here on campus and how to stay involved. Describe your college experience
Coming into college as a first generation student I felt lost and unprepared to start college. I even kept questioning if uofsc was for me. Over time I've been able to use the schools resources, meet so many incredible people and join passionate organizations. All of which helped solidify that uofsc was where I was meant to be and I've enjoyed every second of it since.
Tip for future students
Enjoy every moment but also remember that you are paying for school. There are so many opportunities to have fun in college and I 100% believe that you should enjoy it since there will never be another time like this. With that being said It's important to keep in mind that your paying for school and trying to get a degree. Therefore prioritize academics, try to not skip class and use resources provided by the school
Favorite class
So far my favorite class has been History 300, which is the introduction to the History Major Class. I've enjoyed discussing about how history can be viewed and discovered from different perspectives.
Career goals
After college I am hoping to attend law school and go into either family or immigration law
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night varies by the day. There is always an event or game going on so I love to go to those. Otherwise I like hanging out with friends, getting school work done or just relaxing.
