University of Alabama
My name is Mia, I am a freshman, Majoring in Nursing
Hi, I'm Mia! I am from Plymouth, Michigan, and currently a freshman at the University of Alabama. I am majoring in nursing, along with being in the STEM to MBA program. I aspire to become a Nurse Anesthetist after college. I participated in UA Early College which allowed me to take classes at the university during my high school career, and got the opportunity to spend a summer on campus taking classes before my senior year of high school. I am well versed in the campus due to my experience around the university. On campus, I am involved in various organizations including Turning Point USA, Capstone College of Nursing (CCN) Serve, and attempted to walk on the women's rowing team. The University of Alabama offers so many opportunities, so there is something for everyone.

Describe your college experience
Coming to the University of Alabama has been a welcoming experience. Traveling from out of state can be difficult, but the diverse community from the University of Alabama allows for an easy transition that makes you feel like home.
Tip for future students
My main tip for future students is not to be intimidated by the size of the University of Alabama. It is an ever expanding campus and student body, but it's not hard to find somewhere where you feel like you belong.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been my freshman advanced composition class (EN-103). English has never been my favorite subject, but my professor approached the class with a different idea and made me actually enjoy the class and made me want to show up to class each week.
Career goals
After college, I want to attend CRNA school and become and nurse anesthetist. I also am looking into attending law school possibly as well.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My favorite way to spend a free night is hanging out with friends and attending different sporting events.
