Describe your college experience

Coming from Austin, transitioning to OU was a big change, but I quickly found a sense of community. I’ve loved getting involved, meeting new people, and embracing everything that makes OU feel like home.

Tip for future students

I will always encourage students to go to office hours that their professors have available. Get involved early and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. OU has so many opportunities-I wish I’d known how easy it is to find your people and make campus feel like home. Everyone else is just as scared or anxious as you are to be in a new setting, so it’s really easy to branch out and connect with others!

Favorite class

My favorite class so far would be Elements of Psychology 1113! The professor was amazing for incoming freshmen and the topics taught in that course are very engaging and intriguing to learn about.

Career goals

I plan to get my degree in Biology and move on to dental school! I have hopes to become an orthodontist.

Ideal way to spend a free night

An ideal night for me is hanging out with friends, grabbing food on Campus Corner, and catching an OU game-football, basketball, anything. One of the best perks as a student is getting into games for free!
