Describe your college experience

Starting college was a big change especially since I transferred to USF from a small private school. But I was welcomed into a supportive community that helped me feel at home. Over time, I’ve been able to explore my interests, get involved, and make lasting friendships. My experience has been both challenging and rewarding, and it’s helped me grow in so many ways.

Tip for future students

My advice is to be open to new experiences and not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. College is a fresh start where you can discover new interests, make friends, and grow in ways you never expected.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been Introduction to Aging. I really enjoyed learning about the aging process and how it impacts individuals and society. The class gave me a new perspective on the importance of understanding different stages of life, and I found the discussions engaging and meaningful. It challenged me to think differently and helped me connect what I was learning to real-world situations.

Career goals

After college, I plan to pursue my master’s degree in social work at the University of South Florida. My goal is to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) so I can support individuals and families by providing counseling and resources to help them navigate life’s challenges. I’m passionate about making a positive impact in my community, and this path allows me to do t

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal free night would be spending time with friends, maybe grabbing dinner, seeing a movie, exploring Tampa, or just hanging out and relaxing together.

Previous college

Southeastern University. I transferred after my first fall semester at SEU to USF that following spring, and USF made the transfer process really easy. They were able to take most of my credits, and all my dual credit hours from high school transferred over.
